Teaching Interdisciplinarity and Interdisciplinary Teaching

The LU interdisciplinary pedagogy forum is a common platform for teachers and administrators at LU interested in interdisciplinary pedagogy in higher education. The Forum aims to support teachers in interdisciplinary teaching and administrators in managing interdisciplinary curricula and thus to improve students’ learning in interdisciplinary courses and programmes across LU.

What is it in for me? In the Forum,

  • we educate ourselves in interdisciplinary pedagogy through inspiring presentations
  • we share our experiences and exchange best practices
  • we get pedagogical support in our teaching.

The Forum uses the interdisciplinary competence of teachers with long experience with working in interdisciplinary courses/programs and enriches Lund University’s ambitions in the Strategic Plan on interdisciplinary education and collaboration. The LU Strategic Plan indicates that cross-border and interdisciplinary cooperation should be encouraged and new collaborations will be developed within the framework of what is known as ‘collaboration’ at Lund University. At the USV there is a long experience of different types of collaboration with faculties and institutions. USV’s staff is very active in collaboration with other faculties and in other courses at the university.

The Forum is coordinated by IIIEE and LUCSUS from the University Specialised Centres (USV). Teachers and administrators from all faculties are very welcome to join us.

How do you join?
